Abstract

Objective Given the potential deficiencies in social skills and emotional regulation among college students and the employment pressure they face, it is particularly important to study the relationship between their school sense of belonging and social skills. Background In modern society, humans cannot survive in isolation and need to establish connections with social members to jointly build a safe and healthy society. The "Education Power Construction Planning Outline (2024-2035)" emphasizes the establishment of a collaborative education mechanism involving schools, families, and society. Method This study used 213 students from a vocational college in Jiangxi Province as the sample and employed the questionnaire survey method. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and mediation effect tests were conducted using SPSS 27.0 software. Conclusion The study found that there is a significant positive correlation among college students' school sense of belonging, social skills, and family attachment. Family attachment plays a partial mediating role between school sense of belonging and social skills. There are significant differences in school sense of belonging and social skills among students of different grades and different household registrations, suggesting that schools should provide differentiated support for different student groups.
